Hey park people, did you miss us?! Our team has been working with some of our AMAZING program partners to figure out the best ways to bring you some of your favorite park programs during these crazy times, so here we are!
Just like the programs you know and love at your downtown parks, you'll get Wellness, Creative Arts, Kids' Klub, Pets programming, and MORE that you can enjoy from home or (even better) outside! We'll be putting content out daily, so you'll always have a variety of digital programs to participate in. This blog will be our home base, so you have a one-stop shop to catch your park programs, but you can also keep up with everything our partners are doing by checking out our other social platforms or subscribing to our newsletter.
So, what kinds of programs are we going to feature?
Our Programs Department is working on getting in contact with our park partners, musicians, artists, and more to develop the content that we're bringing to you. This will continue to evolve as we make strides in bringing you the most diverse programming you can get, directly from your local GSO friends and neighbors. Some of the programs that we've confirmed will come your way include:
Wellness programs from Club Fitness Greensboro, Greensboro Downtown Yoga, and Cheri Timmons Coaching
Creative Arts programming from Dance Project, Inc. and GreenHill Center for NC Art
Kids' Klub programs from GreenHill & Bella Ballerina Greensboro
and Pets programming from The Pet Lifestyle Coach®, Megan Blake
We will also be working on producing park-specific content as we creatively look at what it means to do placemaking work through our downtown parks from a distance - we're going to get experimental up in here!
We are so excited to be bringing you this incredible work from our partners and staff. Times are tough for us all, but it's so amazing what our Greensboro community is doing to hold one another (at a safe, 6-foot or more distance, ha!) during these unprecedented times.
