Family Support Network of Central Carolina is providing support, education, and caring connections to those who have a child with a disability/special healthcare need or who have experienced a NICU stay. Develop friendships and have fun through activities such as an inclusion playdate, storytime, parent group support and communication demos. The goals of this program are:

1. Disability awareness

2. Benefits of inclusion

3. Fun, friendship, and connection for ALL families

Our 4 activities will be :

September 13: Inclusion playdate - We encourage children who are neurotypical to come and play with children who have disabilities and are neurodivergent. We will give tips on how to be inclusive and the importance of disability rights in our community.

September 27: Storytime - Come have fun and learn how to develop friendships with people with disabilities.

October 11: Connecting with Spanish speaking families who have children with disabilities - Every demographic deserves the right to be helped and supported. We want to bring this community together who have similar journeys and culture.

October 25: Communication Demos - Not everyone communicates with words. Learn about augmentative communication, sign language, and picture boards.
